Ideja ir salabot pirmo un pēdējo bitu un pēc tam atkārtot atlikušos 2*(n-1) bitus. Ir četras iespējas, kad mēs labojam pirmo un pēdējo bitu -
 

  1. Pirmais un pēdējais bits ir 1 atlikušais n — arī 1 bitiem abās pusēs jābūt vienādai summai.
  2. Pirmais un pēdējais bits ir 0, atlikušie n - 1 bitiem abās pusēs arī jābūt vienādai summai.
